Welcome to ASSE’s Four Corners Chapter
Welcome to the home page of the Four Corners Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). This Chapter is a non-profit organization chartered by the Society for the purpose of carrying out the objectives of the Society in a defined geographical area. The Chapter is located in Region II in the Four Corners Area. The Chapter is headquartered in Farmington, New Mexico. The Chapter’s geographical areas include Archuleta, Delta, Hinsdale, Mesa, Mineral, Montezuma, Montrose, San Juan, and Miguel Counties in Colorado; McKinley, Rio Arriba, and San Juan Counties in New Mexico, and Grand and San Juan Counties in Utah. The Chapter has one section which is the Colorado Plateau Section. This section is headquartered in Grand Junction, Colorado. Membership in the Chapter is open to those individuals who are members of the Society in good standing and who are located within the Chapter’s geographical area or request membership in it. The Chapter provides educational and networking opportunities to safety, health and environmental professionals throughout the Four Corners Area.

Utah Safety Council Offers ASP/CSP Exam Preparation Workshops
The Utah Safety Council is planning to offer the ASP and CSP Exam Preparation Workshops, and the Math Preparation Workshop. These will be held at the Utah Safety Council’s training center in Salt Lake City, beginning on Sunday, September 26th and ending on Saturday, October 2nd. The courses will be offered by Langlois, Weigand and Associates, a nationally recognized consulting firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Langlois, Weigand and Associates is the same organization utilized by National ASSE and many other groups throughout the country. This is an excellent opportunity to receive training at prices similar to those charged by organizations that are outside Utah, and without excessive travel costs. Member prices will be afforded to members of the Utah Safety Council and/or members of ASSE. Registrations must be received by September 1, 2010. (Due to the associated costs, the courses will be held only if there are sufficient numbers of registrants.)
